All the rooms on offer are spacious and uncluttered with fabulously comfortable King or SuperKing sized beds, White Co. linen and Tivoli radios. Twin rooms are also available. Underfloor heating is provided in the bathrooms which feature freestanding roll-top baths and separate showers, with plenty of hot water provided by our wood chip burner. A generous supply of lovely L’Occitane products are offered.
Your room will be supplied with a chic tea tray offering fresh milk, ground coffee, a selection of teas and homemade biscuits. Bottled mineral water and fresh picked garden flowers are left in your room and daily housekeeping is provided.
All rooms have wonderful ‘green’ views of the secluded grounds and rolling landscape beyond; look out for red deer in the early morning mist, a darting kingfisher in July, strutting pheasants and barn owls. When weather permits, feel free to throw a blanket on the lawn and relax outside, or head out further afield to explore the surrounding woodland and meandering Devon lanes.
For guests accompanied by dogs we have available ‘dog-friendly’ bedrooms in which your faithful hound/s can join you overnight. Your dogs are most welcome and are encouraged to share the public areas of the Lodge with their owners. A bootroom is provided for cleaning and feeding and the extensive grounds give plenty of space for daily exercise and exploration.
Residents are encouraged to make use of the whole premises during their stay; many enjoy the billiard room and the open fires. A well-stocked honesty bar is left open for the use of our B&B visitors and there is an excellent cellar on site which can offer up some good value bin ends during the summer months!
